Love Poem Challenge!

Salut, tout le monde!

Aujourd’hui, je ferai quelque chose différemment. Cats at the Bar m’a défié au “Love Poem Challenge.” C’est à dire que j’écris un poème de l’amour (bien sûr) et je le partage avec des autres bloggers. Voici le lien pour le défi original: A Challenge! Poetry no less!

Les règles: je dois écrire un poème de dix lignes, avec quatre mots par lignes, et l’un des mots doit être “l’amour.” Cependant, j’ai triché juste un peu et j’ai utilisé plusieurs mots qui contiennent le mot “l’amour,” mais pas le mot “l’amour” exactement. C’est à dire que: amoureux/se, aimer, et comme ça.

Je vais aussi inclure la traduction anglaise après celle de française. Amusez-vous! 🙂

English translation below:

Hi, everyone!

Today, I will be doing something a bit differently. Cats at the Bar has challenged me to the “Love Poem Challenge.” In other words, I write a poem about love (of course!) and I share it with other bloggers.

The rules: I must write a poem with ten lines, and each line can only have four words. One of the words must also be the word “love.” However, I cheated a bit by using several words that contained the word “love,” but not the exact word itself. That means: lovely, to love, and so on.

I will also include the English translation of the poem after the French one. Enjoy! 🙂

L’amour est la mer,

elle sourit avec l’amour

ses vagues amoureuses sur

l’horizon qui goutte l’amour

pour le soleil amoureux,

pour nous, les amours

et l’océan qui aime

le ciel qui aime

les oiseaux nautiques amoureux–

L’amour, sauvage et sauvage.

Love is the sea,

she smiles with love

her lovely waves on

the horizon dripping love

for the lovely sun,

for us, us lovers,

the ocean who loves

the sky who loves

the lovely nautical birds–

Love, wild and wild.

Another interesting language-thing. I don’t know how to write in other languages than Swedish and English, but I like trying to understand other languages by reading some blog posts. here is one that I found through HarsH ReaLiTy.

Ett annat intressant språk-inlägg. Jag vet inte hur man skriver på andra språk än svenska och engelska, men jag gillar att försöka förstå andra språk genom att läsa några blogginlägg. Här är ett som jag hittat genom Harsh ReaLiTy.

  2. Hi, I promised you something in Swedish. I borrowed your beautiful poem and did a Swedish version. Hope you don’t mind. It’s yours anyway 😉
It’s not a word for word translation. I tried to capture the motions in your words.

    Love is the sea,
    Hon är havet,

    she smiles with love
    som ler med kärlek

    her lovely waves on
    hennes ljuvliga vågor får

    the horizon dripping love
    horisonten att flöda av kärlek

    for the lovely sun,
    till den underbara solen,

    for us, us lovers,
    för oss älskande,

    the ocean who loves
    havet, som älskar

    the sky who loves
    himlen, som älskar

    the lovely nautical birds–
    de svävande sjöfåglarna

    Love, wild and wild.
    Älskar, vild och vilt.
